Job summary

Meta is seeking a construction professional to join our design, engineering, and construction organization in Austin. You will collaborate with leadership, site development, preconstruction and delivery teams to manage early phase projects from due diligence through handoff, and oversee product design implications and constructability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years direct professional experience in Commercial Management, Preconstruction, Construction Management, Engineering, Scheduling or equivalent.
• Demonstrated communication and coordination skills to lead a team towards a single project outcome.
• Familiar with large capital programs, ground-up construction and greenfield site development.
• Proficiency in all aspects of Preconstruction: Site Development, Diligence Review, Budget Development, Scheduling, Change Management, Risk Management, Negotiation, etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction schedules, costs, supply chain analysis, risk analysis, labor markets, project cash flows and contract terms.
• Knowledge in Scheduling tool working experience (P6 or equivalent) with full understanding of interdependencies.

Responsibilities

• Build high level Path to Break Ground Schedules considering location, site conditions, season, labor, and design type.
• Identify critical milestones and last responsible moment for key path decisions and break ground commitments.
• Inform critical path schedule from land development through commissioning and handover.
• Contribute to master plan analyses for future sites, including logistics and geotechnical aspects.
• Ensure smooth transition from planning to execution teams across regions and products.
• Set project targets (cost and schedule) and coordinate multiple internal and external teams.
• Provide constructability reviews to influence design-to-build safety, predictability, and cost.
• Influence engineering strategy with real-time feedback on cost and constructability for value engineering and ROI.
• Identify new processes and tooling needs as business evolves.
• Develop programmatic frameworks and critical path analysis for scenario planning.
• Maintain strong relationships and communications with cross-functional leads.
• Thrive in collaborative environments to contribute to team and cross-functional success.
• Travel up to 25% (20% Domestic, 5% International).
