Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of State Lands (DSL) serves as Florida’s lead agency for environmental management and stewardship and acts as staff to the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida (Board of Trustees). DSL’s work goes far beyond land acquisition. DSL overseesmore than 12 million acres of public land across Florida, including lakes,rivers,and islands. These lands provide opportunities for residents and visitors to explore, connectwithand appreciate Florida’s one‑of‑a‑kind natural landscapes.
State-Owned Lands Inventory (SOLI) is responsible for:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of: The principles, practices, and techniques of computer technology; database concepts; relational databases; Structured Query Language (SQL).
Skill in: Utilization of computers, printers, scanners, and fax machines; Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio); Microsoft Project; and experience with SharePoint and Jira.
Ability to: Think logically and solve problems; analyze and interpret data; analyze and organize process flows and workflows; communicate technical information verbally, pictorially and in writing; document policies, procedures and standards related to technology and business processes; learn custom and "out-of-box" software applications; interpret and translate statutes, rules, and policies; generate statistical reports, project reports, and system reviews; provide content updates and user consultation for Division of State Lands internet, intranet, and internal SharePoint sites; function as fully participating team member; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
