Position Summary

Ensures performance to the master production schedule by planning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules and material requirements to meet production and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and expedite orders and stock transfers to meet customer requirements.
  • Act as primary contact for production status, schedule changes, shipping info, and returns. Adjust master schedule as needed.
  • Identify raw material and component requirements based on specifications and schedules.
  • Communicate work in progress, material availability, and potential issues to relevant teams.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, including inventory strategies and lead time analysis.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow and accurate information.
  • Manage delivery metrics and track improvements through Team Boards.
  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests to support production schedules.
  • Lead annual physical inventory processes.
  • Manage internal and external material movements.
  • Analyze inventory usage, scrap, and shrinkage; recommend actions to optimize inventory levels.
  • Resolve shipment, shortage, and order cancellation issues.
  • Comply with policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing resource planning systems, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to implement continuous improvement methods.
  • Knowledge of legal and policy requirements related to production control.

Conditions of Employment

This position requires meeting U.S. export compliance and citizenship eligibility requirements.
