Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Plane Captain to support aircraft handling, servicing, and daily inspections. The role also includes fueling support equipment and guidance to team members on the flight line.

Responsibilities include launching and recovering aircraft, towing, and ensuring safety with FOD and other regulations. Two years in aviation maintenance or flight line ops and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years’ experience in aviation maintenance and/or flight line operations.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Able to obtain/maintain required qualifications or security clearance.
• Able to read/write/communicate in English and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of safety and maintenance manuals and flight line operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Aircraft Washer and Plane Captain Helper classifications.
• Conduct daily and turn around inspections per procedures.
• Initiate and complete maintenance forms.
• Fuel sampling/servicing per procedures.
• Launch and recover aircraft; marshal and taxi guidance.
• Towing, parking, and securing aircraft as required.
• Ensure safety and compliance with FOD and safety programs.
