Boutique Recruiting is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its Connecticut team and support matters across Connecticut and New York. You will manage a diverse caseload from pre-litigation through trial with a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional results.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years PI experience, strong negotiation and discovery skills, and bench strength in trial preparation. The role offers a hybrid work model and strong earning potential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience required.
  • Experience handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters.
  • Ability to manage cases from investigation through resolution.
  • Strong negotiation, discovery, and motion practice skills.
  • Trial preparation experience required; actual trial exposure preferred.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and client service abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal injury caseload of 75–100 files end to end.
  • Handle auto, trucking, premises liability and related PI matters.
  • Investigate claims and develop liability and damages evidence.
  • Collaborate with clients, medical providers, paralegals and partners.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses and other docs.
  • Negotiate with insurers and defense counsel to maximize recoveries.
  • Manage all phases of litigation through trial readiness.
  • Prepare cases for settlement conferences and trial.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its growing Connecticut team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from pre-litigation through trial while working alongside a collaborative, forward-thinking team that is passionate about delivering exceptional results for clients. In this role, you'll handle cases involving auto accidents, trucking, premises liability, and other personal injury matters across Connecticut and New York. You'll develop case strategy, negotiate settlements, conduct discovery, prepare matters for trial, and advocate for clients every step of the way. Supported by dedicated intake, medical records, client services, and litigation teams, you'll have the resources needed to focus on practicing law and achieving outstanding outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal injury caseload of approximately 75-100 files from end to end.
  • Handle a mix of pre-litigation and litigation matters involving auto accidents, trucking, premises liability, and related personal injury claims.
  • Investigate claims and develop liability and damages evidence.
  • Work closely with clients, medical providers, paralegals, and partners to build strong cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, demands, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct negotiations with insurance adjusters and defense counsel to maximize client recoveries.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Prepare cases for settlement conferences and trial.
  • Maintain responsibility for filing deadlines, service of process, and statute of limitations compliance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience.
  • Experience handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters.
  • Proven ability to manage cases from investigation through resolution.
  • Strong experience with medical development, demands, negotiations, discovery, and motion practice.
  • Trial preparation experience is required; actual trial experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and client advocacy skills.
  • Licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York (candidates licensed in one state with a strong desire to obtain the second license may be considered).
  • Experience with Litify is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Slack.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking ability, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and desire for continued professional growth.
