Job Overview

A Philadelphia-based civil litigation law office is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to contribute to a thriving personal injury practice. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with lead counsel on a variety of complex matters involving serious injury claims, while also managing cases independently. Candidates should be prepared to take initiative in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment, with significant client interaction and courtroom exposure.

Duties
  1. Manage a caseload involving personal injury and civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
  2. Develop case strategies and assess legal options to move matters efficiently toward settlement or trial
  3. Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery-related documents
  4. Conduct and defend depositions, handle arbitrations, mediations, and court appearances
  5. Collaborate with litigation support staff and senior attorneys on case development
  6. Perform legal research and analysis of statutes, case law, and procedural rules
  7. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to advance case objectives
Requirements
  1. Licensed and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar (New Jersey Bar admission is an asset)
  2. 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in plaintiff personal injury or comparable practice areas
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and responsibly
  4. Familiarity with civil procedure, discovery rules, and evidentiary standards
