Job summary

Methuen Public School District is seeking a LTS Program Assistant Foundations Sub to support Early Childhood Center students with disabilities. Responsibilities include implementing programs from the Special Education Teacher, assisting with toileting/feeding needs, and escorting students during arrival and dismissal.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (associates preferred) and prior experience with children; ability to work with professional staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with children/students.
• Experience assisting in program implementation.
• Ability to work with professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings.
• Assist with behavior plan implementation as directed by BCBA and/or classroom teacher.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• Assist with feeding and toileting needs as required.
• Monitor attention, work completion and social navigation; perform duties as assigned by school administration.
