Job summary

Eataly North America in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Pizza Maker to produce roman-style pizza alla pala following our authentic Italian recipes. You will report to the Bakery Manager and work on site with a focus on crafting high-quality pizzas.

This role requires 1+ year in back-of-house production, a strong work ethic, and solid communication and time-management skills. You will operate wood-burning ovens, electric pizza ovens, and a commercial mixer, with possible evenings and weekends.

• Prepares pizzas according to specific recipes.

• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards
• Works towards mastering all shifts in pizza production
• Assists Sales Associates if needed and engages with guests interested in learning about pizza production
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible, open schedule often including evenings and weekends preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to work with a wood burning oven, electric pizza convection oven and commercial spiral mixer
