Job summary

Eataly North America in Los Angeles seeks a Pizza Maker to produce roman-style pizza alla pala following authentic Italian recipes. You report to the Bakery Manager and contribute to a lively kitchen environment.

You will prepare pizzas per recipes, preserve quality, and maintain a clean work area while working across shifts and engaging guests with pizza knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a back-of-house production position.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.
• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours.

• Works toward mastering all shifts in pizza production.

Job Description

A Pizza Maker is responsible for producing roman-style pizza alla pala in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery Manager.

• Prepares pizzas according to specific recipes
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards
• Works towards mastering all shifts in pizza production
• Assists Sales Associates if needed and engages with guests interested in learning about pizza production
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible, open schedule often including evenings and weekends preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to work with a wood burning oven, electric pizza convection oven and commercial spiral mixer

Pay rate for this role is $19 - $21
