Job summary

OTTO in Bedford, NH is seeking a Kitchen Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in running the kitchen and delivering a memorable guest experience. This role leads kitchen staff, oversees food preparation and safety, and ensures smooth service during busy periods.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of kitchen leadership and the ability to manage inventory and schedules. A flexible weekend/night schedule and SERV Safe or TIPS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule – weekends and nights.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) required.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels, directions, menus, safety documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and lead kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor food preparation, appearance, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Manage inventory, rotation, and weekly ordering.
• Assist with employee scheduling and opening/closing duties.
• Train staff and support onboarding of new hires.
• Enforce food safety and sanitation regulations and policy compliance.
