Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Stretch Pizza Domino. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas according to our recipes and standards, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and timely delivery to our customers. Your attention to detail, speed, and passion for creating delicious pizzas will be crucial to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Stretch, shape, and top pizza dough with precision and efficiency.
- Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring proper temperature and cooking times.
- Monitor pizzas during the cooking process to prevent burning and ensure even baking.
- Cut, box, and garnish pizzas according to presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
- Manage the inventory of pizza-related ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including food preparation and cleaning.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Handle multiple orders efficiently and accurately, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with colleagues and customers.
Qualifications:
- Obtain or have NYC Food Handler License within first 60Days required.
- Proven experience as a Pizza Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong Hospitality focus with ability in connecting with guests while in position.
- Knowledge of different pizza styles, dough preparation techniques, and topping combinations.
- Ability to operate and maintain pizza ovens safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently 1 and accurately under pressure & maintain a positive commitment.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
