Summary of Position

Responsible for efficiently preparing and portioning food items while following food safety, portioning, and recipe guidelines to ensure ingredients are available for daily use.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and other food items for cooking in our pizza oven.
• Ensure the quality of products served.
• Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies consistently.
• Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.
• Portion food prior to cooking according to standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
• Assist and fulfill requests from the prep or shift manager.
• Help station cooks as needed.
• Properly handle, store, and rotate all products.
• Assist in food prep during off-peak times.
• Attend team meetings and suggest improvements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

No experience necessary; 1 year of kitchen experience preferred. Must be able to work in a hot, loud environment, reach, bend, and stand for long periods. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds safely.
