Job summary

GRVTY seeks a technically skilled analyst to support NASIC’s intelligence mission, delivering PIR exploitation products for MDA planning and sensor characterization.

You will fuse OPIR, GEOINT, and MASINT data, develop signal processing workflows, and present assessments to leadership and partners. A TS/SCI clearance and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

Job description

• Directly support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center's (NASIC) scientific and technical intelligence mission, delivering PIR exploitation products that inform Missile Defense Agency (MDA) test planning, sensor calibration, and national-level threat characterization
• Shape how emerging OPIR, GEOINT, and MASINT sensor data is fused, analyzed, and turned into actionable intelligence for warfighters, acquisition decision-makers, and policymakers
• Work at the leading edge of space-based remote sensing and IR phenomenology - helping close critical gaps between raw collection and usable intelligence on foreign missile and weapons development
• Contribute tradecraft and technical judgment that feeds directly into MDA test event planning, ensuring collection requirements are met and sensor performance is properly characterized

What You'll Be Owning

• Apply PIR exploitation tradecraft and structured analytic workflows to process, characterize, and report on infrared sensor data and events
• Perform IR sensor operations support, including data quality review, sensor performance assessment, and exploitation of thermal/spectral signatures
• Conduct IR signature phenomenology analysis to distinguish, classify, and characterize target events (e.g., missile launches, plumes, thermal anomalies) from background and false alarms
• Apply space-based remote sensing principles to support tasking, collection, and exploitation across OPIR and related sensor architectures
• Develop, test, and refine algorithms for signal processing and automated/semi-automated data exploitation workflows
• Plan and execute field test events and data collections, coordinating sensor tasking, ground truth collection, and post-event data capture
• Perform advanced data analysis and signal processing on multi-INT datasets to support technical intelligence assessments
• Integrate understanding of OPIR, GEOINT, and MASINT sensor systems and data products to support MDA test requirements, collection planning, and mission partner needs
• Produce and present technical intelligence assessments, briefings, and written products to NASIC leadership, mission partners, and national-level customers
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (systems engineers, program management, other INT disciplines) to ensure exploitation workflows align with mission and program objectives

What You Must Have

• Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain/transfer) - required to start
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Physics, Engineering, Math, Remote Sensing, or similar), or equivalent experience/military-DoD training in lieu of degree
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated experience in PIR/OPIR exploitation, IR sensor data analysis, or related technical intelligence disciplines
• Working knowledge of IR signature phenomenology and space-based remote sensing concepts
• Experience with algorithm development/programming applied to sensor data exploitation or signal processing (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or similar)
• Familiarity with field test planning, data collection execution, or sensor tasking/collection processes
• Understanding of OPIR, GEOINT, and/or MASINT sensor systems, data types, and exploitation tools (e.g., ArcGIS, ENVI, SOCET GXP, Remote View, or equivalent)
• SIPRNet/JWICS experience and familiarity with multi-INT fusion workflows across GEOINT, MASINT, and SIGINT
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to produce technical reports and briefings for senior stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Prior experience supporting NASIC, MDA, or a related national intelligence/DoW collection organization
• Direct experience with MDA test planning, sensor performance characterization, or missile defense collection requirements
• Advanced degree (MS) in a relevant technical or scientific discipline
• Experience with additional exploitation tools (IOTS, TMS, GAT, RET, HAAPi, PDP Viewer, COMET, Palette, Black Wolf, MIST, ERDAS IMAGINE, AGITK, WARP, GETS, or similar)
• Signal processing experience specific to infrared, radar, or RF sensor phenomenology
• Prior work on a NOVASTAR, ATEP II, or similar NASIC-supporting contract vehicle
