Job summary

Thorpe Specialty Services Corporation in Texas is seeking an industrial pipefitter with strong reading of blueprints, P&IDs, and specifications to determine piping layout and procedures. You will measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes, install and repair piping systems including carbon steel, stainless steel, and non-metallics.

Candidates should have 4+ years of pipefitting experience, familiarity with OSHA safety practices, and the ability to work with cranes, scaffolding, and confined

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with welding, flanging, threading and grooved connections.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices.
• Experience with VRF systems and hydronic piping processes.
• NCCER Pipefitter Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and specs to determine layout and procedures.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand tools and welding equipment.
• Install, modify, and repair piping systems including carbon steel, stainless steel, and non-metallic piping.
• Coordinate installation with other trades and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Perform pressure testing, leak testing, and inspections of piping systems.
• Load, transport and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Document work, material usage, and deviations from plan.
• Support other industrial services as needed.
