Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment for industrial processes. You will work from blueprints, select materials, and ensure safe, high-quality installations in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include cutting, threading, bending, joining, and securing piping; installing hydraulic/pneumatic components and testing systems. Strong math, reading, and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to read, write, and follow supervisor directions clearly.
• Able to solve geometric problems using basic math and calculator.
• Must pass drug test and background checks as required by location.

Aufgaben

• Select type and size of pipe and related materials per specifications.
• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and area disruptions.
• Cut pipe using various saws, torches, and cutters.
• Thread pipe with a threading machine; bend pipes with bending tools.
• Assemble and install pipes using various joints and methods.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components or machines.
• Install and maintain compressors, pumps, meters, controls, and piping.
• Increase pressure and test pipe systems; observe gauges for function.
• Possibly weld pipe supports; observe machinery for malfunctions.
• Operate machinery to verify repairs; follow safety and project rules.
• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments; may work outside craft; 40+ hours weekly.
