Job summary

Applied Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Mid Level Mechanical Engineer (III) – Piping Systems to lead and deliver innovative piping and mechanical hardware designs from concept to delivery.

You will work with test fixtures, vessels, weldments, and related components while ensuring manufacturability and safety in collaboration with designers, fabricators, and operators. A successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, translate customer requirements into robust design criteria, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• BS in Engineering or related technical field (equivalent experience may be accepted).
• Secret DoD Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret DoD Clearance.
• Familiarity with CAD modeling, drawing development, and GD&T.
• Experience applying ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, AISC 360-10, AWS D1.1, ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Perform task lead activities to ensure designs meet technical, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers in problem solving and engineering processes.
• Develop innovative designs for mechanical and structural hardware supporting piping systems.
• Create design documentation including presentations, calculations, and technical reports.
• Review design documentation prepared by other ATS engineers and third-party partners.
• Present designs and analysis results to stakeholders and customers for review.
