Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced pipefitter to oversee and direct crew members in safe, timely piping system installations and maintenance. You will read isometric drawings, derive locations, and handle pipes, supports and fittings across steam, heating, cooling and process lines.

The role involves welding, fabricating, assembling and testing piping assemblies, with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Strong hands-on skills and site coordination are required.

Qualifications

• Must read isometric drawings and derive piping location, orientation and size.
• Experience installing/maintaining piping systems and related equipment.
• Ability to plan work, select proper tools and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe types and materials per job specs and installs supports.
• Inspects sites for obstructions and plans installation sequence.
• Cuts, threads and bends pipe; mounts hangers and brackets.
• Assembles and installs piping and related fittings with various joints.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and observes gauges for readings.
• Loads and transports materials and assists in installation.
• Ensures compliance with safety rules and quality standards.
