Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Piping/Pressure Vessel Engineer to provide technical support for piping systems, pressure vessels, and fluid equipment. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and compliance with ASME/API/ASTM standards, and involves collaboration with Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Design teams.

The engineer will review drawings, support hydrostatic and pneumatic tests, lead root-cause investigations, and drive process improvements across manufacturing and testing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years with piping systems, pressure vessels, or fluid systems.
• Strong understanding of piping and pressure-system fundamentals.
• Knowledge of ASME piping and pressure vessel requirements.
• Hands-on pressure testing and leak testing experience.
• Experience with PFMEA, 8D, 5-Why methodologies.
• Ability to read P&IDs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support design, manufacturing, and validation of piping systems and pressure vessels.
• Review P&IDs, drawings, and specifications for accuracy.
• Evaluate configurations for safety, reliability, and compliance.
• Support pressure-testing requirements and testing activities.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and performance.
• Create manufacturing procedures and test documentation.
