Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Memphis, TN for a 12-month contract. Ideal candidate has experience in the Electrical Equipment Manufacturing Industry and a strong background in piping, pressure vessels, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities focus on reducing defects, improving leak testing yields, and driving process improvements while adhering to ASME codes. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $80 to $100 based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years of engineering experience involving piping systems, pressure vessels, mechanical equipment, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience supporting the manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing of pressurized mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Section VIII and ASME B31 piping standards.

Responsibilities

• Reduce piping and pressure-related manufacturing defects.
• Improve first-pass process yield for pressure and leak testing.
• Reduce rework associated with leaks, improper assembly, and fabrication issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of mechanical engineering issues impacting production and maintain compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Drive manufacturing process improvements that improve quality, efficiency, and overall equipment reliability.
