Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Estimator-Piping to support lump-sum, unit-rate and cost-plus estimates for water, wastewater, and related infrastructure projects. You will quantify scopes from design documents, perform takeoffs, and prepare detailed cost estimates aligned with work breakdown structures.

The role requires strong Excel skills, analytical ability, and experience with estimating tools. The position offers hybrid work options and opportunities to work on diverse projects across power

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Field or project experience is a plus.
• Experience with Process Pipe and Yard Pipe Systems and/or Electrical and I&C Systems is a plus.
• Cost principles and procedures knowledge.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to interpret specifications and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review project design scopes and develop quantities from documentation.
• Prepare complete and accurate detailed cost estimates for scopes of work.
• Coordinate with estimating and design teams for scope alignment.
• Assess labor productivity and equipment needs for the scope.
• Maintain historical cost data and benchmarking of costs by construction type.
• Support Basis of Estimate documentation with Lead Estimator.
