Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Estimator for piping projects. The role involves preparing lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates for water infrastructure facilities, pipelines, and related civil works.

You will review designs, perform quantity takeoffs, and align estimates with work breakdown structures, coordinating with design teams as required. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with estimating software such as

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of relevant estimating experience required.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project design scopes and develop quantities from documents/3D models.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for scopes of work.
• Coordinate with estimating and design teams for scope alignment.
• Assess labor, material, and equipment costs and labor productivity.
• Update historical cost data and benchmarking wherever appropriate.
