Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an Estimator for piping to support lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus estimates for water, wastewater, and industrial projects. You will review designs, quantify scopes, perform cost takeoffs, and ensure estimates align with the project work breakdown structure.

You will collaborate with design teams, leverage tools like InEight and Aspen, and contribute to Basis of Estimate documentation while enjoying a hybrid work model with a strong benefits package and employee

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) as applicable.
• Experience with process pipe and yard pipe systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews the project design scopes and develops quantities from documentation and models.
• Assesses missing scope items for a complete estimate package.
• Performs quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Prepares complete and accurate detailed cost estimates for scopes of work.
• Aligns cost estimates with work breakdown structures.
• Coordinates with estimating and design teams for scope alignment.
• Assesses labor productivity and equipment requirements for the scope.
• Supports preparation of Basis of Estimate documentation with Lead Estimator.
