Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an intern to contribute to Process / Building Mechanical Piping Design and Plumbing / Materials Engineering on the Life Sciences team in Cincinnati, OH. You’ll apply your classroom knowledge to real projects and gain hands-on design experience.

Work with Professional Engineers and Design Leads, perform design calculations, and coordinate with other trades. The program emphasizes development, ownership of quality, and readiness for professional practice.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including Process & Mechanical Piping, for buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades.
• Work under the guidance of Professional Engineers and Design Leads.
• Progress from basic design work to more complicated projects with a technical team.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy and timeliness of assigned work.
