Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in a hybrid role across Conshohocken, PA, Indianapolis, IN, or Cary, NC.

This internship provides hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design in buildings. You'll assist with design calculations, coordinate with other trades, and help develop heating, cooling, and building-safety plans under professional supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program of Mechanical, Architectural or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, for buildings and facilities.
• This role is not eligible to candidates who require sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide system design calculations and related design services including coordination with other trades under the guidance of Professional Engineers.
• Assist in the design of heating and cooling systems, domestic water and waste systems, and sprinkler systems while helping develop the plans for the overall building safety.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned, progressing from basic design to more complex projects with the technical team.
