Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to work on HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for Life Sciences projects. Location options include Indianapolis, IN, with a May 2027 start.

You will gain hands-on design experience while collaborating with a technical team and professional engineers. Responsibilities cover system design calculations, coordination with other trades, and development of building safety plans.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a degree seeking program of Mechanical, Architectural or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, for buildings and facilities.
• This role is not eligible to candidates who require sponsorship.
• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD
• Prior internship experience with a design firm

Responsibilities

• Provide system design calculations and related design services.
• Coordinate with other trades' designs under the guidance of Professional Engineers.
• Assist in the design of heating, cooling, domestic water, waste, and sprinkler systems.
