Job summary

Quanta Services, a leading provider of specialized engineering and construction services, is seeking a Pipeline Engineer / Project Engineer to join its team in Houston, TX. This role combines hands-on pipeline design with project leadership, supporting routing, hydraulics, testing plans, and field implementation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong commitment to technical accuracy and quality.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of pipeline design experience in midstream energy, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop pipeline engineering deliverables for gathering, transmission, and distribution systems, including routing, hydraulics, MAOP/MOP, crossings, and testing plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary deliverables and serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and cross-discipline deliverables to ensure safe, code-compliant designs.
• Support procurement through RFQs and vendor reviews; review vendor drawings for compatibility with design.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startup, including hydrotest activities.
