Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Control Center operator to independently follow established methods and procedures to ensure safe, reliable operation of US pipeline systems. You will manage compressor stations, meters and pipelines, monitor alarms, and assist in troubleshooting while maintaining documentation and shift handoffs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, knowledge of gas hydraulics, and DOT qualification within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of gas hydraulics and compressors.
DOT Operator Qualification certification within the timeframe.
Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Strong communication and teamwork.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Ensure safe and efficient operations of compressor stations, meter stations and pipeline systems via daily operating plans.
Identify, analyze and mitigate abnormal operating conditions at stations and pipelines.
Monitor and respond to alarms per established protocol.
Process customer nominations and imbalances impartially.
Document operational information during shifts and communicate at handoffs.
Assist in troubleshooting tools used in the Control Center.
