Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking an experienced technician to operate and maintain pipelines, compressors, engines and related equipment across facilities in Texas. Responsibilities include repairs, equipment inspection, safety compliance, and coordination with landowners and authorities.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, a high school diploma, and the ability to work with internal teams and contractors. Travel, shift work, and physical outdoor tasks are expected.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office and general software knowledge.
• Strong math skills: addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, pipeline appurtenances, corrosion control protection systems, measurement equipment and storage well equipment.
• Oversee general upkeep and maintenance of facilities and equipment, including rights-of-way, and gather/storage areas; perform excavation, coating, backfilling pipelines, concrete work and related tasks.
• Operate and perform minor repairs on engines, pumps, compressors, expanders, coolers, and test equipment; start/stop engines and pumps within operating parameters.
• Coordinate with landowners, officials, and local groups; represent the company during community and regulatory interactions.
• Oversee third-party construction or maintenance work; train company and third-party personnel as needed.
