Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain pipelines, compressors, and related equipment across facilities in Houston, TX. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure safe and reliable energy delivery.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to work on-call and travel as needed. A High School diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, basic software).
• Knowledge of operating costs and best practices for equipment.
• Must possess valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, pipeline appurtenances, corrosion protection systems and storage well equipment.
• General upkeep of facilities and equipment, including right-of-way areas; excavating, coating and backfilling pipelines.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as engines, pumps, air compressors, and related devices.
• Oversee third-party construction and mentor personnel as required.
• Perform governmental compliance activities (DOT, EPA, USFS, etc.).
