Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Pipeline Controller to oversee safe, reliable flow in our pipeline systems from Houston, TX. The role optimizes compressor/pump use and coordinates with field personnel to ensure timely gas and liquid deliveries while maintaining data integrity.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and 0–4+ years of relevant experience, with willingness to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen per PHMSA regulations.
• Proficient with PC applications (Excel, Word, Project) and related tools.
• Demonstrated multitasking, analytical, and detail-oriented work.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some travel and overtime required; 12-hour shift incl. nights/weekends.
• Ability to work from alternate Control Center location during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pipeline pressures within design criteria and monitor gas/liquids quality.
• Coordinate changes with ET departments to execute scheduled actions.
• Serve as first contact in emergencies and notify services and management.
• Maximize pipeline throughput coordinating with operations during outages.
• Direct, control, and monitor deliveries to maintain schedules and product quality.
• Update daily throughput reports and emergency notification lists.
• Evaluate operational problems and provide solutions.
