Job summary

Buckeye Partners seeks a Pipeline Operations Technician to monitor and control daily product movements in the Gulf Coast District. You will coordinate deliveries, monitor SCADA, and support maintenance and scheduling activities to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include preparing throughput reports, analyzing abnormal conditions, and documenting events for handoff to the next shift. Overtime, weekends, and holidays are required in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in pipeline, terminal or plant operations is a plus.
• Ability to navigate basic computer systems (i.e. Windows).
• Basic knowledge of SCADA applications and MS Office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product movement to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor SCADA and control daily pipeline operations.
• Prepare daily throughput reports and weekly volume statements.
• Analyze leak detection system and respond to abnormalities.
• Document incidents with checklists and handoff sheets.
• Report emergencies to authorities and Buckeye staff.
• Support district projects and special requests.
