Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in NW Houston seeks a pipeline controller to monitor and operate multiple pipelines and facilities, starting/stopping pumps, and coordinating with field personnel to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Required: 60 college credits with oil & gas ops or related military experience; associates degree preferred; 2–3 years in oil & gas; strong communication and computer skills; able to work a rotating 12-hour shift; must pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credit hours with oil and gas field operations/plant experience or 60 college credit hours with oil and gas/air traffic controller experience.
• Associates degree strongly preferred.
• 2-3 years of Chemical or Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and email.

Responsibilities

• Remotely starting/stopping pumps and/or compressors and operating valves.
• Monitoring and controlling the movement of material through multiple pipelines and facilities.
• Analyzing changing conditions and alarms and making necessary adjustments.
• Reviewing batch listings and schedules to determine accurate times of pipeline events.
• Maintain communication with field personnel, customers and suppliers to maximize efficiency, safety, quality and service.
• Coordinate pipeline maintenance and monitor tank and cavern storage levels.
