Colonial Pipeline Company is seeking a Manager, Pipeline Compliance to lead the regulatory compliance program, oversee monitoring, audits, and corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. The role partners with stakeholders to ensure PHMSA and API standards are met, while building a culture of safety and accountability.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in pipeline security/compliance with PHMSA, and ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of DOT-PHMSA work experience and/or pipeline projects/operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of PHMSA regulations 49 CFR 190, 191, 194, 195, 196 and 199 and API practices.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Safety/Environmental compliance or petroleum pipeline industry.
  • Ability to respond to emergency incidences.
  • Ability to implement sustainable changes.
  • Willingness to develop direct reports and continuous learning.
  • Travel up to 20% of time.
  • Adherence to company policies and core values (Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, Excellence).
  • DOT testing requirements and MVR monitoring as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Pipeline Compliance team through performance management and coaching.
  • Set department priorities aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee compliance monitoring, assurance activities, and documentation control.
  • Interpret regulatory policies and provide guidance to staff and legal.
  • Serve as SME on PHMSA regulations and pipeline safety.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and information requests.
  • Participate in industry committees to improve compliance capabilities.
  • Develop processes for controlled corporate documents supporting PHMSA compliance.
  • Represent Colonial as liaison during emergency response events and training.
