Job summary

Tri-Star Construction is seeking experienced Pipelayers/Utility Crew members for waterline, sanitary sewer, and storm drain heavy civil construction projects. Starting pay is $18+ per hour, with higher starting pay based on experience and skill level.

You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following safety protocols. Responsibilities include installing, joining, and repairing pipes, reading grades, and coordinating with equipment operators.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy civil construction experience with water, sewer, or drainage work preferred.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a crew.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, position, join, align, seal, and repair water, sewer, and drainage pipe.
• Read grade stakes, measure elevations, establish line and grade, and fine grade as needed.
• Hand dig to safely expose existing utilities.
• Signal equipment operators for proper alignment, movement, and grade.
• Set forms, shoring, scaffolding, and braces as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools used in utility and heavy civil construction.
• Maintain tools and equipment and follow safety requirements.
