Job summary

Tri-Star Construction seeks an experienced Heavy Civil Foreman to lead field crews on concrete, asphalt, earthwork and underground utility projects. You will focus on safety, quality and production while developing the next generation of construction professionals.

Strong leadership and the ability to read plans and coordinate labor, equipment and materials are essential. This role requires commitment to schedule, budget, and field problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years of heavy civil construction experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred.
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, earthwork, or underground utilities.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise heavy civil construction crews on daily operations, acting as first in command in Superintendent’s absence.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and production activities.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, grades, and project layouts.
• Work with Superintendents and Construction Managers to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Train, mentor, and develop crewmembers.
• Complete daily production reports, timekeeping, and project documentation in HeavyJob software.
• Monitor quality and ensure work meets project specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture by conducting safety meetings, inspections, and job hazard reviews.
• Identify and solve field challenges while maintaining production goals.
