  • Schedule: 5:00AM Monday- Friday with some weekends

Northwest Cascade's services include: dirt work; underground utilities; roadway construction; residential plat development; and commercial and industrial site development packages. Additionally, Northwest Cascade provides mass excavation and de-watering.

What Are We Looking For

Northwest Cascade has an immediate need for a Pipe Layer to join its team. The primary responsibility of the Pipe Layer will be to support our mainline crews in the installation of underground utilities. The Pipe Layer will also have the opportunity to:

  • Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
  • Cut pipes to required lengths
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using cement or glue
  • Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools
  • Install and repair sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems
  • Communicate with Foreman and other crew members
  • Operate safely in close quarters and around all types of utilities
  • Inspect and maintain equipment—report defects immediately
  • Ensure that crews comply with site rules and regulations
  • Know and maintain safety standards as established and required by the State of Washington and company policy
