Job Title: Pipefitter - Newport, KY

Join Messer Construction Co. as a Pipefitter in Newport, KY. We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team and contribute to our projects in the Food and Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industries.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and P&ID’s
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain process and utility piping systems
  • Inspect work sites for obstructions and determine pipe path clearance
  • Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutters, torches, and pipe cutting machines
  • Provide emergency repairs to process and production equipment
  • Perform maintenance, inspections, and installations on equipment
  • Follow safety regulations, maintain a clean work area, and identify hazards
Qualifications
  • Ability to keep work ahead of welders
  • OSHA 10/30 Certification
  • Experience with facing tools, Fischer saws, and related tools
  • Knowledge of piping layout and routing
  • Understanding of piping systems; fitter/welder skills are a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; reliable transportation and good communication skills
  • Willingness to work within a 50-mile radius; travel to other states is a plus
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
