Description

Magnolia Companies' New Construction division is seeking a Mechanical Pipefitter 2. The candidate will need to be able to do assembly and installation of piping and mechanical equipment for air, chemical, and water systems. Preferred applicants have at least 6 years of experience and an interest in new construction.

Responsibilities

  1. Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related equipment for various systems.
  2. Read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for layout and installation.
  3. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and install pipes and fittings.
  4. Install and maintain supports, valves, flow regulators, and control systems.
  5. Test systems for proper functioning and compliance.
  6. Troubleshoot and repair pipe and equipment issues.
  7. Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.

Requirements

  1. Valid Driver's License.
  2. Pass background check and drug test.
  3. Minimum 6 years of experience as a Pipefitter, familiar with new construction.
  4. Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  6. 3-5 years of commercial pipefitting experience.
  7. Proven experience with steel pipe fitting.
  8. Ability to install mechanical equipment.
  9. Skill in measuring, cutting, threading, or bending pipes with hand or power tools.
  10. Experience in residential projects is not relevant.
