Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Pipefitter for an on-site role in Freeport, TX. The successful candidate will lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment for industrial production.

Role requires 4 years journeyman-level experience and NCCER certification with a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include cutting, threading, installing pipes, supports, and controls while ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• NCCER certification and a Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments with PPE and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, and pipe threaders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials per specifications.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and ensure structural integrity.
