Job summary

Austin Industrial in Freeport, TX is seeking a Pipefitter to install and maintain pipe systems, supports, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment for industrial plants. This is an on-site, full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience.
• Certifications/licenses: NCCER, TWIC, and DL.
• Legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specs.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment.
