Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of pipe types and joints.
• Ability to read and transmit written and oral instructions clearly.
• Proficient with electrical and manual tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pipe types and joints including butt, socket, threaded, and grooved connections.
• Read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate, and install piping efficiently.
• Align and secure components for welding; bolt and clamp fabricated metal parts.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and equipment by welding and threading joints.
• Position materials during installation and follow plans and specifications.
• Inspect subcontractors' work for compliance and address deficiencies.
• Operate tools such as beveling machines, pipe threaders, torches, and drills.
• Lay out and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
• Estimate sizes, distances and quantities to determine time, costs and materials.
• Work overtime and outdoors in all weather; climb and work at heights.
