Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Pipefitter II in Phoenix, AZ to take on increasing independence in commercial mechanical service and installation, handling routine to moderately complex piping tasks for wet-side HVAC systems.

You will perform repairs, layout, testing, and troubleshooting, mentor Level I team members, and contribute to safe, reliable piping systems nationwide while benefiting from hands-on training and clear advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proficient pipefitting techniques including threading, grooving, fitting, welding/brazing basics.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation of piping drawings/specs.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred; safety mindfulness and PPE usage.
• Ability to document work orders, service reports, and related records.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and maintain piping systems in commercial HVAC applications.
• Perform layout, cutting, threading, grooving, fitting, and assembly per blueprints and codes.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and system checks for performance and safety.
• Assist and lead portions of advanced installations and coordinate with other trades.
