Job summary

MasTec Industrial in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Helper/Laborer to assist journeymen in planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of heavy industrial systems. The role requires 3-4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to work 50-hour weeks and travel up to 90% on project sites.

Responsibilities include interpreting measurements, handling pipe and fittings, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in construction craft roles as a helper or laborer.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools to perform tasks accurately.
• Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates.
• Perform tasks including threading, beveling, and cutting pipe.
• Install valves, couplings and fittings; disassemble damaged pipe.
• Ensure quality work meeting plans and industry standards.
