MasTec Industrial in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Pipefitter Helper II to assist journeymen with planning, layout, installation, testing and repair of piping systems per plans and codes.

Requirements include 2-3 years relevant experience, a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read measuring tools, and willingness to work overtime in a safety-conscious environment. Travel up to 90% to project sites.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience in construction crafts as a helper or laborer with basic craft knowledge.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools to perform tasks accurately.
• Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates; thread, bevel, and cut pipe.
• Use hand and power tools to fit and install pipe and piping systems.
• Assist in installing valves, couplings and fittings; remove damaged pipe.
• Produce quality work meeting plans, specs and standards.
• Communicate with Foreman about materials, hazards, and needs.
