Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman in planning, layout, installation, testing and repair of construction systems.
• Read and interpret measuring tools like tape measures and squares to perform tasks.
• Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates.
• Handle pipe fitting tasks: threading, beveling, cutting.
• Use hand and power tools to fit and install pipes and piping systems.
• Assist with installing valves, couplings and fittings; remove damaged pipe.
• Ensure work meets plans, specs and industry standards.
• Cooperate with installation crews for material movement and safety checks.
