Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble and install piping systems for process facilities. You will select pipe types, cut and thread pipes, install supports and joiners, and test systems for leaks under supervision.

The role requires basic math, precision, and ability to work at heights while following safety and project rules. You will assist in maintaining equipment and materials on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of field experience.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
• Typically reports to a Foreman or other direct supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plans installation sequence.
• Cuts, threads, and bends pipe using hand and power tools.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls/ceiling.
• Assembles and installs pipes and fittings with various joints.
• Secures pipes to structures and tests for leaks.
• Welds pipe supports to structural members when needed.
• Loads, transports and unloads materials and tools.
• Maintains tools and equipment; follows safety rules.
