Brown & Root Industrial Services in Missouri is seeking a Pipe Helper I for a long-term, on-site assignment. You will assist journeyman pipefitters with laying out, fabricating, installing and maintaining piping systems, and you must pass a pre-employment physical and background check.

The role emphasizes safety, precise work, and the use of common shop tools. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM, with opportunities for long-term employment and career training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 0–2 years in piping.
• Ability to read plans and follow precise instructions.
• Able to work at heights and operate hand/power tools safely.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe sizes and materials per job specs.
• Inspect site for obstructions.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cut pipe with hacksaw, pipe cutter, or torch.
• Thread and bend pipe using tools.
• Mount hangers/brackets to support piping.
• Assemble piping with joints using appropriate methods.
• Test piping for leaks at pressure.
• Observe safety rules and wear PPE.
• Load and transport materials as needed.
