Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Pipefitter Helper to assist seasoned pipefitters in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment on industrial sites across the United States.

Responsibilities include cutting, threading, drilling, mounting hangers, and helping install valves and fittings, with a focus on safety and productivity. Minimum education is not required, but 6+ months of industrial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, and pipe threaders.
• Cut or drill holes in walls to permit passage of pipes using a pneumatic drill.
• Selects specific type and size of pipe.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipe.
• Assists Pipefitter to install valves, couplings, and other fittings.
• Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
