Job summary

Optimal Field Services is seeking skilled Pipefitters to install, maintain, and dismantle piping systems for new construction or maintenance projects. You will lay out, fabricate, assemble and install piping, fittings, and hydraulics, using hand and power tools to ensure precise production at all times.

Essential duties include reading blueprints, measuring and marking pipes, selecting materials, cutting, threading, bending, and testing piping systems for leaks; you will diagnose issues and

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be able to calculate dimensions and use basic math.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license/ID.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding.
• Read and comprehend blueprints.
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specs.
• Cut pipe using pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.
• Thread pipes using threading machine.
• Bend pipes using pipe-bending tools and machine.
• Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
• Calculate dimensions and use basic math.
• Diagnose and isolate troublesome points and perform repairs.
