Job summary

Cajun Industries, LLC is seeking a Pipefitter to operate in plant operations or construction sites in the United States. The role involves reading blueprints, fabricating and installing various piping systems, and coordinating with crew to ensure safe, efficient work on site.

The candidate will use equipment and tools for cutting, beveling, and preparing pipes, while maintaining strict safety requirements in dynamic environments and indoor/outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and ability to perform rigorous field work.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Effective communication with crew, supervisors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, ISO field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches.
• Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe, and stainless weld pipe.
• Miter and fabricate all pipe to required angles and lengths.
• Use beveling machine to prepare pipes/tubes for welding.
• Lay out for pipe penetrations and install piping in pipe racks and supports.
• Install valves, pipe hangers, and pipe supports; install underground piping.
• Install steam and heat tracing systems as required by project.
• Perform bolt-up of flanges and assist other craft workers as needed.
